Superbuy lists its packing extras on its fee page. These are the prices we read on 4 October 2026; each one is charged per piece, per kilogram or per parcel as shown, on top of shipping.

Which options lower the shipping bill, and which only protect
Superbuy prices shipping by weight steps, and couriers count a large, light box by its size rather than its scale weight. So packaging falls into two groups. Some options make the parcel smaller: free package removal, a folding shoe box and, for soft clothing, vacuum packaging. Others make it safer but slightly heavier and larger: bubble wrap, EPE foam, corner protectors and the wooden case.
Vacuum packaging is the one people argue about. At CN¥17 a piece it only pays when it pulls a bulky parcel down a size band; on two T-shirts it changes nothing, while on a box of hoodies or a down coat it can. Batteries, liquids and perfume: the restricted items
Not everything can travel on every line. Superbuy's fee page notes that items with batteries and liquids have to be split into separate orders, and its Help Center keeps a full "Mail Restrictions" list. In practice three groups need care:
- Batteries and power banks. Anything with a built-in battery usually needs a line that accepts it, and some lines refuse loose batteries entirely.
- Liquids, perfume and cosmetics. Perfume counts as a liquid. Expect a separate parcel, a narrower choice of lines and sometimes a refusal, so check the restriction list before you buy rather than after the item reaches the warehouse.
- Powders, magnets and sharp items. These often trigger extra checks or are barred on air lines.
Declaring a restricted item as something else to slip it onto a cheaper line is not a workaround: carriers can return, destroy or confiscate the parcel, and the shipping fee is usually lost.
A worked example: three hoodies and a pair of trainers
Using the packed weights from the finds catalog, three hoodies weigh roughly 1.8 to 3.0 kg packed and a boxed pair of trainers 1.0 to 1.6 kg. Sensible choices here cost little: free package removal on everything, a folding shoe box for the trainers (CN¥5) and vacuum packaging only on the hoodies if the warehouse's size estimate puts the parcel in a higher band (CN¥17 per bag). That is CN¥5 to about CN¥56 in packing, against a shipping charge that starts at CN¥320 for the first 500 g on Superbuy's UPS Economy example.

Is Superbuy's package removal free?
Yes. Package removal and simple packaging are listed at CN¥0 per piece, and they strip the seller's boxes and bags before your parcel is packed. That alone often shrinks a parcel noticeably. Ask for it on clothing and accessories, but keep the original box for anything fragile or anything you want to keep boxed, such as collectible figures.

Should I pay for a folding shoe box?
Usually, yes. It costs CN¥5 per piece and keeps a shoe's shape in a smaller box, and boxed trainers weigh roughly 1.0 to 1.6 kg packed, so size matters. If you don't care about the box at all, free package removal is cheaper still. Choose the folding box when you want some protection without paying shipping on a full-size shoe box.
When is a wooden case worth CN¥250?
Only for heavy or very fragile goods where breakage would cost more than CN¥250, such as large ceramics, glass or delicate equipment. For figures and small fragile items, EPE foam at CN¥4 per piece, bubble wrap at CN¥5 or corner protectors at CN¥5 per kg protect well for far less. Reserve the wooden case for the rare item that cannot survive anything lighter.
